Dear Friends,

A view of Calafia

A view of Calafia in Rosarito

In today’s LA Times Newspaper ‘Online’ – there was a brief article about U.S. Americans living in Baja-Mexico by Richard Marosi.  A ‘fair & balanced’ article about what some U.S. Americans think is the ‘truth’ about living in Baja.

Highlighted were several Americans – including my neighbors, Bob & Carol Dawson of Las Gaviotas.

What is ‘really terrific’ is the short 6 minute video clip – which you find ‘online’ showing more in-depth – the surrounding views with audio clips from several U.S. Americans now living in Baja.

One of the views is Beryl Hart – wife of John Hart, who was the former ‘Lone Ranger’ we all knew as kids.  John & his wife retired down here to Baja a few years ago and he passed away a couple months ago – where he asked that gifts in his memory be made to ‘Cha-Cha’s Angels’ the Boys Orphanage in Rosarito Beach.  (Marcia Napoli ‘Cha Cha’) had been caring for him in his final months of his life here on this earth.

Please read today’s LA Times article AND make sure you go on-line to view the short video clip.  (there is a quick 30 second ad before the video story starts).

Now, here’s your assignment from your friend Rob Cromwell – for those of you who live in Baja or/ own property/home in Baja  – and believe  today’s printed story – the door has been opened wide and this is the time for us to standup and be counted !

We need to reply to the LA Times and thank them for this article along with the journalist.

Second, I ask you to personally go ‘on-line’ and send a written reply – ‘Letter to the Editor’ and have your ’short letter – 250 words or less’  printed in LA Times giving a brief testimonial why you live; own or travel down to Baja.  (see link below – and follow simple directions) – of course citing the printed article in today’s LA Times.  Here’s the link for you to reply with your letter to the editor:

If you write a brief testimonial – would you please send me a copy so we can have that brief note also published for others to read.

I don’t ask to much of my friends and neighbors – but this is the time for us to ’stand up and be counted’ in giving the ‘positive news’ why Baja is the beautiful and safe area for U.S. American’s to live and travel to – and why we LOVE IT !

Third, I ask you forward this email on to your friends and neighbors – those who love Baja.  And then, forward the links only to those who still have concerns about Baja so they might read about what others ‘living in Baja’ really think about our wonderful area.

Happy Holidays,

As always,

Rob Cromwell

ps – for those who do the above – you will be on my ‘invited list’ for a party-bash at my home/community this next year – ‘Celebrating those who love Baja’ – hosted by me.
