El Mirador in Ensenada
The Santa Anita town is once again the middle of territorial dispute between the governments of Ensenada and Rosarito; this after Ensenada built a welcoming message to the city in the conflicting sector, claiming the territory which has been in quarrel for almost fourteen years.
Rosarito City Mayor, Hugo Torres Chabert, pointed out that he will file a demand to the Baja California State Congress so the city limit between Rosarito and Ensenada is settled once and for all, this to avoid further conflicts like the ones happening.
He said the Delegate of La Misión, Juan Bosco, took the duty of moving the Ensenada welcoming signs since the territorial claiming is still in deliverance by the legislators. He added that Santa Anita residents have expressed their adherence to Rosarito in public councils and that Rosarito is actually the one servicing this zone.
Torres Chabert underlines the fact that the Rosarito’s City Limit issue cannot be postponed any longer because the citizens are the ones at a loss when these types of problems happen; he made a call to the Baja California legislators so they can put an end to this very old conflict.
Rosarito is located north of Ensenada and south from Tijuana just a 20 minute drive from the US-Mexico border. Both Rosarito and Ensenada are known for being attractive Mexican tourist landmarks and home to famous Baja Communities and many other Baja real estate options for buying foreigners.
